Today's "Going Green" Tip of the Day: Eliminate plastic water bottle consumption. Students and staff, please use reusable items such as metal bottles or ceramic mugs to drink water. Bring them to school, work, or when going out to eat! Did you know bottled water costs 10,000 times more to produce than tap water and each bottle takes 1,000 YEARS to biodegrade. Just 3% of are recycled into new bottles and most plastic bottles produced end up in landfills or in the ocean. So please bring your own reusable water container! It's a small change that makes a big impact!
