• It's almost the end of the SchoolPool Month. Mark all the days you've walked, biked, bussed or carpooled to school! If you ready to turn it in, don't wait any longer! Fill out the back with contact information and drop it off into the red SchoolPool collection box located in the main office or give it to your teacher.

• Reflections submissions are due today. Submit your entries to Ms. Metcalf in the library. For additional assistance you can get help in the library during lunch today.

• Staff and students, we have a Veterans Assembly to honor the veterans who have served in the military. If you want, you can send photos of someone close to you that has served. Please make sure you include their name and what branch of the military they served in. Have all photos sent by tomorrow. If you have photos send them to s-kconklin@lwsd.org.

• Students – Your student card/ASB card is used for many things, such as checking out library books and identifying your lunch account. Your student ID card/ASB card is not a credit or debit card.  It cannot be used for things like socials, field trips, band ties etc. Questions about this, come to the Attendance Window.

• The first RMS Social is coming soon. Friday from 2:40 to 4:30 and our theme is “Spooky”. The only day to buy tickets will be Thursday during lunch, the cost is $5. Tickets are not sold at the door.

• The Humanities Club will meet today in Room 230. Please attend if you are interested in competing in National History Day independent of your history class.

• Hey grizzlies, This upcoming week is Spirit week!
• Wednesday is Halloween, so come in your costumes!
• Thursday is superhero day so let’s see that superhero swag.
• Friday is our spooooooky social and black outttttt So make sure to only wear black.

This week we are talking about Mrs. Kielty who attended Highline Community College and Western Governors University / WGU of Washington where she earned a bachelor’s degree in special education and is currently working on a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. WGU is an online College which means you don’t go to a building to attend class, it is done on the internet. Mrs. Kielty’s favorite classes in community college were creative writing and accounting, and at WGU was differentiated instruction which focuses on editing curriculum and lessons to suit the needs of all learners. Fun fact about WGU their mascot is a night owl because many of the students have full time jobs and work on their schooling in the evening.
